Reflection Day Six

REFLECTION & REVISION (This part is to be included in your daily reflections after teaching the lesson. How did I feel about my lesson today? If I feel successful, what did I see the students saying and doing that made me feel that way? What changes to tomorrow’s lesson need to be made as a result of today’s class):

Today we went really well. The students were interactive and engaged. We basically reviewed what we did Friday except I was the moral detective. I read the same story to each of the groups and we figured out the moral through what the characters were doing. The students really liked being read to and the funny pictures in the book. Then the students had to draw a picture of themselves doing a moral. A lot of the students chose "Do not lie" as the moral to draw. The last activity was that they had to define what a moral is. The students were all able to draw a picture of them doing the moral as well as define it. They all got the definition perfectly. This was a very successful lesson.
There were only thing I would change is to give the students a list of morals that they could chose from. This way the students all did not try to draw the same moral. I got a lot of "Do not lie" as the moral that they drew. Also, I would specify that the students can draw stick figures. That seemed to be a big concern as they were drawing their pictures. This lesson was a brief review and showed me that the students have learned a lot.
